Continuing their 2020 tour, Sergei Kosov, virtuoso balalaika player and Ekaterina Shetliffe, pianist will be joined by friend, award-winning violinist Yulia Northridge from Derbyshire at this concert to present an evening of Russian music.

Sergei Kosov; graduated from the prestigious Gnesin Academy in Moscow, before establishing himself as a international performer, appearing as a soloist with many traditional folk orchestras and ensembles in Russia, USA and Germany. He was presented the Work of Culture Award for his contribution to the arts.

Yulia Northridge was awarded the prize of ‘The Young Talent of Russia’ in 1992. Since 2008, Yulia has been based in Derby, where she is regularly seen performing all over the East Midlands and South of England.

Ekaterina Shetliffe graduated from Dargomizsky College of Music of Tula. She has achieved career as a concert pianist, giving solo performances in the Russia, UK and Sweden while teaching at Exeter University and Queen’s Co
