All Day

Henstridge Airfield

Take a flight over the amazing countryside of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire from the historic Henstridge Airfield. The Pterosoar Charity Air Day is raising funds to support young people from North Dorset who have been selected to take part in the 24th World Scout Jamboree in North America in 2019. The young people belong to the Dorset Jurassic Unit attending the World Scout Jamboree: we have called the Air Day ‘Pterosoar’ in keeping with the Jurassic theme!

The 24th World Scout Jamboree unites the world’s scouts to promote peace, mutual understanding and respect and will be an amazing experience. 50,000 scouts will spend 3 weeks living together and taking part in team building, physical challenges and will spend a week living with a group of scouts in one of the host countries. It will be a life changing experience for all who take part.

Tickets are £50 per person for a flight. Planes will be able to fly two to three passengers at a time, and kids are allowed to fly too! There will also be activities for all the family as well as refreshments on sale all day.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Dorset County Scout Council (charity number 301214).
