Using techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, planishing (creating a hammered surface), stamping and mark making; over the weekend students will have the opportunity to experiment with techniques to create different surface decorations.
This course is aimed at people with little or no experience of silversmithing.
Students can choose to attend as a ‘day’ student or on a ‘residential’ basis. The day rate includes tuition, a buffet lunch and tea/coffee during the day. The residential rate includes everything that the day rate offers, plus one night’s accommodation at Hurds Hill together with a scumptious home-cooked dinner on the first night and breakfast next morning.
There will be an additional charge of approximately £20 payable on the day, to the Tutor, for materials.
