Spend the day creating your own unique upcycled jewellery and accessories from beautiful broken things.
Working with an eclectic mix of materials, from vintage broken jewellery and haberdashery, buttons, modern recycle items, students will be looking at how to assemble the jewellery using different fixing techniques.
Also learning how to make earring wires and clasps to compliment the pieces.
Please feel free to bring any special bits from your own collection of upcycle you would like to include, but all tools and materials will be provided and their will be a small charge for materials payable to the teacher on the day of approximately £5.
Please wear old comfortable clothes.
Refreshements and a delicious light buffet lunch also included in your day.
Beginners level – all welcome!
Ness Bird has a degree in silversmithing and 3-dimensional design. She has worked as a jewellery designer/maker for 17 years, principally of bespoke wedding rings – and has been running metal-smithing and jewellery making courses for 10
